The suggestive route of the Kilometer of Knowledge (KM_C) offers a unique pedestrian experience, connecting three magnificent Como villas: Villa Olmo, Villa del Grumello, and Villa Sucota.
Through paths immersed in their parks, dotted with greenhouses, chapels, lemon groves, works of art and botanical rarities, the KM_C offers an extraordinary sensorial journey.
The Kilometer of Knowledge hugs the western shore of the Lake Como, starting from Villa Olmo and crossing the road to Cernobbio with the suggestive Kilometer Bridge.

How to get there
It starts from Villa Olmo, crossing the Ponte del Chilometro which runs along the road that leads from Como to Cernobbio, you go along the municipal greenhouses and then reach Villa del Grumello e Villa Sucota among lemon groves, chapels and splendid botanical specimens.
Here's how to get there:
- By car: If you are traveling by car, enter the address of Villa Olmo in your satellite navigator. The full address is Via Simone Cantoni, 1, 22100 Como CO, Italy. Once you arrive, you will find convenient parking nearby.
- Public transport: If you prefer to use public transport, Villa Olmo is easily accessible. From Como train station, you can take a bus or a short taxi ride to reach your destination.
- On foot or by bike: If you are already in the center of Como, reaching Villa Olmo on foot or by bike is an excellent option. Follow the signs to the lakefront and enjoy a short walk or a pleasant bike ride along the lake shore.
Once you arrive at Villa Olmo, look for the starting point of the Kilometer of Knowledge. You will be able to easily identify it thanks to the information signs and the presence of the suggestive Ponte del Chilometro
