Cernobbio Lake Como

Cernobbio is an elegant resort at the foot of the Monte Bisbino, not far from the center of Como. Cernobbio has been a favorite destination for visitors from all over the world for centuries is note for the beauty of its landscape which offers corners of great beauty.

It is a town on a human scale, pleasant and relaxing, perfect for those who love to discover the urban and cultural fabric of our lands.

In fact, the environmental wealth is combined with evidence of man's creativity and industriousness, such as his prestigious villas. The real treasure of Cernobbio it certainly is Villa d'Este, dating back to the 16th century and transformed into a luxurious hotel in 1873, with sumptuous furnishings and a large Italian garden overlooking the lake.

His palmarès boasts numerous awards, including that attributed by the renowned US magazine Forbes, which declared it the best hotel in the world in 2009.

But if you want to be enchanted, displaced, incredulous, Cernobbio hides a place to try this experience. Is called Garden of the Valley, a magical place, all to visit, born from the ashes of an illegal open-air landfill.

The late Pupa Frati, known to all as Nonna Pupa, in the 1980s made a request to the Municipality to be able to reclaim the entire area at her own expense.

With an infinite love and a burning passion for nature and its gifts, Nonna Pupa has bequeathed a small paradise in the heart of the country, and a wonderful idea that today is an association.

The Lake Como it is also famous for its typical cuisine. The numerous restaurants scattered throughout the town give visitors to Cernobbio the opportunity to savor some local 100% specialties: from misultin to the perch risotto!

But first, especially in the summer months, an aperitif on the shore immersed in a dream landscape is a must.

Cernobbio it does not end along the banks of the Lario but winds along pretty paths with a Prealpine flavor.

The walk up to the resort Cross of Man, offers a suggestive journey immersed in nature embellished with statues and works of art made from the wood of local trees. An experience to be lived!

Finally from the summit of Monte Bisbino you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama that ranges from the Swiss Alps to the plain of Milan.
