Agriturismo Il Ronco: An oasis on Lake Como

My name is Marida, a fusion of Maria and Ida , representing the princess and the warrior woman respectively.

My story is simple, made of passions and a big dream. It began when, having reached a breaking point with the past and with myself, I discovered an inner strength I didn't know I possessed.

This strength allowed me to start from scratch and realize my dream: opening a farmhouse with a Bed & Breakfast and a farm.

I was born in Garlate, a charming little village on the shores of Lake Como , but I left everything to pursue my primary passion: photography.

After years of intense work as an industrial photographer , I realized that I had abandoned an essential part of myself: creativity.

One morning I woke up, grabbed my trusty camera , and decided without hesitation to return to my roots.

I purchased an 700th-century farmhouse and its grounds overlooking the lake and mountains, and began a conservative restoration process . From the beginning, I knew it would be a demanding job, but it never scared me.

Even though it took years to complete the restoration and get to this point, I consider myself fortunate to have discovered this corner of paradise and to be able to share it with others.

I don't know what brought me here: perhaps fate , perhaps my determination , or perhaps both. With the help of my family and my team , I realized my dream, opening the wonderful agriturismo Il Ronco di Marida.

The passion and care we put into growing our produce is reflected in our restaurant's dishes. We use only ingredients sourced from our own farm to offer an authentic culinary experience, with recipes that combine tradition and innovation.

Our cuisine, based on genuine and local ingredients , will offer you authentic flavors of the Lombard tradition in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.

Bed & Breakfast: A Haven of Tranquility

Discover the silence and peace of nature in our Bed & Breakfast. Our three rooms, decorated with warm colors and exposed wooden beams , offer splendid views of the lake.

After a sweet night's rest, you can enjoy an included breakfast prepared with zero-mile products , many of which are made by us such as bread , cakes , jams and honey.

Our farmhouse is strategically located, a short distance from the city of Lecco and the cycle path along the Garlate and Olginate lakes.

You can explore Valsassina for skiing in winter or for regenerating walks from spring to autumn . The surrounding mountains offer countless opportunities for outdoor activities.

At our shop , you can purchase Ronco products, carefully cultivated on our estate for over ten years. Olive trees , chestnuts , berries , vegetables , and heirloom fruits await you, so you can take home a little piece of our corner of paradise on Lake Como.
