Guided excursion to Monte Grona

La Grona, besides being a magnificent observation point over the central Lario, also offers a wide variety of botanical species. Climbing the mountain requires moderate fitness and hiking experience.

We'll set off on foot from the ancient village of Breglia, located at 750 meters above Menaggio. We'll follow the picturesque mule track to the Monti di Breglia and from there we'll embark on a circular route that includes a stop at the Rifugio Menaggio , where we'll find a fountain to refresh ourselves.

The trails will become more challenging as we approach the summit, which stands at 1736 meters high. To reach it, we will have to overcome a short stretch of fixed chains, designed to facilitate ascent and descent.
