Osteria Enoteca L'Aquila d'Oro: Enhance the scents of home and rediscover forgotten local products
L'Osteria and Enoteca L'Aquila d'Oro was born in what was once a barracks for the Guardia di Finanza: smugglers once shuttled here. Today these roads between Lake Como and the mountains on the border with Switzerland are traveled by passionate gourmets looking for unique local products, among which the prized Semuda.
Our Cuisine: A journey between cult of the territory and attention to research
Under the guidance of chef Plinio Bossio, the Osteria Aquila d'Oro has been a beacon of culinary excellence for over 60 years, handed down from generation to generation within the same family. The culinary philosophy focuses on enhancing the authentic flavors of local tradition and rediscovering ancient gastronomic delights that have now been forgotten.
"Enhance the scents of home and rediscover forgotten local products” is the key to the kitchen of Plinio Bossio, chef of Osteria Aquila d'oro, run for 60 years by the same family of which he represents the third generation.
Cellar and wine shop
A cellar personally supervised by chef Plinio Bossio with the Sommelier Pamela Tanera.
Among the almost 700 labels, a place of honor is carved out for itself noble nebbiolo, starting from its expressions in nearby Valtellina up to the renowned Langa wineries. The focus is on Italian wines, with digressions beyond the Alps, and on cellars that express craftsmanship and passion.
We propose in Retail the entire selection of our labels.
You can choose your take-away bottle directly from the cellar or consume it at the table where we offer tastings with local products in combination.
