Path 7 of the Spina Verde is a walk around Como, an interesting route from both a historical and panoramic point of view.

General informations

Starting point: Via dei Pini 10, Cavallasca or Villa Imbonati Town Hall
Length: approximately 4 kilometers return
Difference in altitude: approximately 200 metres
Duration: approximately 2 hours return
Tips: in the same area of the park there are two other paths: 2 and 8.
Family: Perfect route also for families with small children.
Suitable for dogs: very suitable itinerary for 4-legged friends of any size.

Spina Verde Como: path 7 between trenches and panoramic points

Path 7 of the Spina Verde is a beautiful walk in the surroundings of Como, perfect for those looking for an interesting path both from a historical, educational and panoramic point of view.

Along this route you will in fact have the opportunity to discover (and why not, walk!) what remains of the trenches of the Cadorna Line dating back to the First World War .

But not only! Along path 7 of the Spina Verde you will also find the highest point of the park and two panoramic balconies that will leave you speechless.

Although it lasts a couple of hours and has a slightly uphill first section, this walk is simple and suitable for everyone . It is no coincidence that this section of the park is often visited by school groups.

We also recommend this trail to anyone looking for a MTB route within the Spina Verde .

Departure from Cavallasca path 7 of the Spina Verde

The most convenient point from which to start if you arrive by car in our opinion is Via dei Pini 10 in Cavallasca , there aren't many places available but access to the path is so close that it's worth a try.

Alternatively, it is possible to park near the Villa Imbonati Town Hall . From here you continue past the church of San Michele, the schools and the kindergarten in Via Monte Sasso.

Since it is a ring it is possible to start your walk to discover the trenches path also starting from San Fermo della Battaglia in Via Giasca .

What we will tell you below is the itinerary that starts from Cavallasca; whatever the starting point, if you follow path 7 , you will still encounter everything we are telling you.

Panoramic points of Path 7 in the Spina Verde Park

As anticipated, this walk also allows you to reach various panoramic points on Lake Como .

To get to Pin Umbrela and its beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Como, simply continue your walk along path 7 following the simple directions on the signs, the road is very simple.

Once you get here you can enjoy the view of the first basin of the lake, of all the locations at the foot of the path and of the Generoso, Bisbino and San Primo mountains. If you are planning to have a picnic, this is the right place!

Leaving the balcony on the left and continuing the walk in the opposite direction from which you arrived, you can easily reach the panoramic point of Monte Sasso , as well as the highest point of the park, certainly worth seeing if you are in this area of the Spina Verde .

Unlike the previous view, in this case the real protagonists are the mountains.
